About Carole A. Sullivan, Esq.
Attorney/Founder
After receiving a Juris Doctorate from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2004, I began my legal career at a general practice law firm in my hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut. There I got my feet wet managing a diverse caseload of litigation, family and custody disputes, probate administration, estate planning, real estate, business transactions, personal injury, workers compensation, landlord/tenant, and foreclosure matters.
We settled in Litchfield in 2006, and after taking time to raise my young family, I gained significant experience in complex civil litigation and appellate matters, including state and federal matters before various federal District and Circuit Courts of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
During my 20+ years in the litigation world, I witnessed firsthand the unintended and often devastating consequences resulting from lack of proper estate planning, where families found themselves in court for years attempting to sort through disputes surrounding their loved ones’ estates. It was frustrating to watch, and I knew these situations could have been avoided.
It is through this lens that the small town practice of Sullivan Estate Law was born, dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality and personalized estate planning and probate estate settlement for individuals and families. At Sullivan Estate Law, I hope to distinguish my practice by providing responsive, personal attention to my clients and to the community that I love.
